Basic Information
GelNest™ Matrix is prepared from basement membrane components extracted from mouse tumor tissues. The main components include laminin, type IV collagen, heparan sulfate proteoglycan, etc. These components provide the support and signals required for cell adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation. They also mimic the characteristics of the basement membrane in a physiological environment and improve the success rate and effectiveness of cell culture.

In addition to basement membrane components, GelNest™ Matrix is also rich in a variety of growth factors. These growth factors promote cell differentiation, proliferation, and migration, further mimicking cell signaling pathways and interactions in physiological environments. GelNest™ Matrix has a wide range of applications, especially in tissue engineering, cell culture, and research, including organoid culture, stem cell differentiation, angiogenesis, migration or invasion, and in vivo tumorigenesis.

Formulation*Growth factor reduced
Protein ConcentrationSee label, or download the COA from our official website for the lot-specific protein concentration.
AppearanceGelNest™ Matrix is liquid at 4°C but forms a gel at 37°C. Phenol red-containing matrix appears bright yellow when frozen and red at temperatures above 0°C.
ApplicationsSuitable for 2D primary cell culture, organoid construction, culture and differentiation, invasion assays, and in vitro and in vivo angiogenesis assays.
Storage and Shelf LifeStore at -20°C in a frost-free refrigerator or at -80°C before aliquoting. After thawing, aliquot into single-use portions and store at -20°C or -80°C. Shelf life: 2 years.
PrecautionsGelNest™ Matrix begins to gel above 10°C. Perform operations on ice whenever possible and pre-cool consumables that come into direct contact with the matrix, such as pipette tips.

* Use phenol red-free matrix for colorimetric assays. When using the growth factor-reduced formulation, add the necessary growth factors to achieve optimal culture results.
